Welcome to Avid Reviews, my brand new blog on which I will post book reviews!  The reviews on this site will be primarily speculative fiction.  This means that you will find plenty of reviews for books in the Fantasy genre, and a few from the Sci-Fi genre as well.  I decided to start this blog because I love to read, and it is often extremely hard to find great books, especially now that we as readers have so many self-published authors, as well as traditionally published authors, to chose from.  Most blogs out there are either strictly for reviewing traditionally published works or strictly for reviewing indie published works.  I think it is time for a site that reviews both indie and traditionally published books.  Most of the books on this site will be new, but a few times a month I will post reviews that are for books that have come out a while ago that you may not have heard of yet.  Check back soon for my first book reviews, which will include reviews of Robert Eaton’s The Hero Always Wins, Max Gladstone’s Three Parts Dead, and Gregory S. Close’s In Siege of Daylight.
